TRANSFERS

Well, I survived my second Transfers. I am staying in my area for at least one more moves. Which is what I wanted so that is good. I am getting a new companion. An Elder Field from Utah. I have never met him so I don't know too much about him so we will see how that goes. But I am excited I needed a change. I will be excited to serve with somebody new. I don't know this for sure, but my sources tell me that this moves will be 8 weeks instead of 6 because if not we would move a week before Christmas. So I will be in this area until like a week after Christmas. Well, I guess I could be here longer but that is when the next transfer is. This Sunday we had a good Sabbath Day. We were able to Confirm Joel, so that was really cool to kind of seal things up. The young Men's President in the ward confirmed him and did a good job. Then Sunday night the missionaries in our ward (us) put on a Fireside. It was AMAZING. The spirit was strong. It was all about the life of the Savior, and...

PDAY In Ireland

Well, another week has come and gone all too quick. But it was a good week. Sunday was Joel's Baptism, and it was really good. One of our speakers got sick and didn't show up so I was hurrying to prepare a talk on the Holy Ghost and then the Bishop actually stepped in and did it and did a really good job. But Sister Akello did an awesome job as well. I think it helped a lot too, for Joel, that she was African. Africans just can relate a lot easier to other Africans. But it was kind of funny to get into the font there are two doors one in the girls' bathroom and one in the boys. But Bishop sent his keys home with his wife after church that had the keys to those doors, so we got to the part for the baptism, and we were locked out. So, we had to wait for the bishop's wife to bring the key back to the church. But it turned out good. Elder Greer made cookies and we got some juice. But the spirit was really strong. I asked Joel afterwards how he felt. and he said, "how...

3 Month Mark! Can You Believe It?

Well almost. I have a couple days left until my actual three month mark but  man time is going by fast. Just like two months until Christmas. It has been another good week in Ireland. I am actually in Bray right now again.  The place where I climbed that mountain, but I am on exchanges with Elde r O'Toole it was a really fun day yesterday.  Well I am so looking forward to Sunday for Joel's baptism. It has been reall y fun working with him and it will be good to see him make that step in h is life. It was supposed to be Saturday but the ward wanted to change it to Sunday right after church at 2:30. So more of the members could just s tay after church to go to it. So that will be interesting and different. We went to see a member the other day named Immaculate Akello, African la dy, who is a really stong member baptized about 5 years ago. But I was pr ompted to ask her two talk at the baptism and so we went over and asked her,  and she was very gracious and willing, so...

Weekly Report

Well Good Morning Family, I hope all is well and everybody is doing good. It sounds like Shawn and Tommy had fun hunting and had some good success with the 4 antelope, badger, and fox, that's cool. Well life in the fast lane is going good. Yesterday we went on exchanges and I went with Elder Beckstead, from Mesa, and it was really fun he's only been here about two weeks, so it was fun to be in charge and plan all of our activities for the day. He's a really cool guy and we had a lot of fun getting to know one another. It seemed about one of the most productive days since I've been out. Maybe just cause I was picking everything we did but sometimes my trainer isn't the best at utilizing our time and I hate to be doing unproductive things. So, I thought we didn't have any wasted time yesterday I planned a good day and I was a lot happier yesterday because we worked hard all day and the day went by really fast. I was wishin I could be with Elder Beckstead everyda...

Another Week

Hello Family, It has been another good week here in Ireland. Even though we did hear the news of Paul Neuman dying! What is this world coming to, what is Sundance without Butch? :) Well, it is getting COLD here. Last week from about Sunday to Sunday it was beautiful sunshiny weather the whole week but then Monday hit and it's been cold this week. I guess it was kind of the calm before the storm. I am going to have to get me a good pair of gloves. Well, this week a kind of funny thing happened to us. We were going through a Less Active list of members trying to find where they live and stop by. We stopped by a guy's house by the name of Martin Fox. When he opened up the door, he let us in and then I recognized a couple of the kids that were there at his house where the kids of one of our new investigators, Catrina. Anyways it turns out that Catrina is his daughter-in-law and those are his grandkids. It was just kind of a funny experience. Hopefully that will help us to kind of...
