Letter to/from Mom
Good Morning Mom,
It was so nice to get an email from you today. I hope you are about to recover from everyone being up to Taylor for Christmas, I bet your ready for some quiet time. Well Elder Hansen, From Joseph City, Is still not back yet but hopefully sometime. Transfers are in 2 weeks so my companion will probably move but we could both stay here we will see. I don't really have any news just getting over being sick but i feel pretty good today so hopefully the worst is past. We were both about to go stir crazy in the flat so it will be good to get back into a routine. I don't know how some missionaries don't work and are lazy, the time goes by so slow when you do that. Everything is much better when you are actually working and having good lessons to teach. "it is only those who do not know how to work who do not truly love it." I got your letter today from a few days after christmas. I'm glad you got your New Years date, that sounds like fun. Well in a couple of weeks the branch is having a western night and they asked me if i would sing a few cowboy songs around the "campfire", it will be a fake one indoors, but i actually am kind of looking forward to it, it will be fun. I've only sang at a fireside since i've been on my mission so it willl be good to sing.Well i wish i could be there to see Emmy on her birthday i can't believe how big both her and TJ are getting you'll have to give her a big hug and a kiss from me today. I sent her a card a few days ago but it will probably be a few days late. But think its only like 4 months from next week when i get to call you again so that will go by SOO fast. I Love you so much, Tell dad i love him too and i am so grateful for him for taking care of you so well. I Love you both and miss you but i am excited to have a whole year to serve the Lord it will be an awesome year and will go by really fast. I Love You, I Love you, I Love you,
Elder Hancock

Hi Well I guess you figured out I'm at Jamies so I get to E mail you. I wish I knew what time you would get on and I would gey up early that would be cool to get on at the same time , it would be almost as good as talking to you. Almost. I just sent you a long letter do there is really no new news. Wyattt called Jamie right after we got here and acts like it undoes him a little for us to be down here, so thats pretty funny. Its Emmys birthday tomorrow (today for you) I'm sure you know rhar 'cause you are so good to remember everyones birthday. I'm glad I get to see her on her birthday. She is such a cute well behaved little girl I get such a kick out of her and TJ bothe. We babysat while Jamies went out tonight and did'nt have any trouble with either one. They bothe went to bed so cute without a peep.
Hope all is well with you and work is picking up a bit after the holidays. How long til transfers? Do you think your companion will get changed? Wll have you heard if you will get to go baptize Rosie yet? There was about 2 foot of snow over the rim but the roads were clear. Is it still really cold? Any snow or just cold?
It seems like my kids are asking me to babysit quite a bit right now I guess I will have to find a job. I guess I just kind of got burned out babysitting my own kids without much help. I hope you are making a mental note of all the places you want to show us next year at this time I will start worrying about making travel plans and paying for our trip. Remember you promised to marry somebody who I really like so we can still be good friends? Ray and I are doing good and I'm so thankful for him. I feel like as long as I have him I can get thru about anything.
I hope you are keeping focused and happy and you are feeling good. I worry about you and pray for you all the time. You better be looking for some new shoes. maybe you'll get a chance to go to the fake wall mart store or some where.
Did that kid from Joseph City come bak out? I love you and miss you likd crazy but I don't want to see you until a year from June or July.
I guess I should close so you have time to read everyone elses e mails. Be happy and remember who you represent, remember all the people you have at home rooting for you, Ihave people ask about you all the time. Take care of yourself. What a wonderful privlege and opportunity it is for you to be over there serving. SIt might not seem like it right now but when you look back on this experience I'm sure you'll apreciate it Thank you for being the kind of person I've always been proud of . You're my hero and I love you tons. Always MOM
